Mashed Potato
Delicious, fluffy and buttery. This simple mashed potato is the perfect side dish or topping for a shepherd's pie.
Ingredients
  • 1kg Maris Piper potatoes
  • 125g cold unsalted butter, diced
  • 150ml full fat milk, hot
  • Sea salt
Instructions
1. Peel the potatoes and cut into rough 2" cubes. Add to a pan of boilng salted water. 2. Reduce the heat and simmer the potatoes for 20 minutes until soft.3. Drain well and return to the hot pan for a few minutes to dry. 4. Mash well, until there are no lumps left, then beat in the cold butter. 5. Finally stir in the hot milk and serve.
